Certified Tax Preparer (PTIN Required)
ABOUT US: We are a reputable family-oriented wealth management business seeking a certified tax preparer to work on a contract basis and take over the preparation of client tax returns. Our firm focuses on serving mobile entrepreneurs. We’re seeking a candidate with a positive attitude, the ability to work well with others, and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities:
- Preparation of basic individual, partnership, and corporate returns for clients in various industries
- In-depth knowledge of applicable sales tax laws and regulations ideally for all 50 states
- Tax registration in New York, California, Nevada, Oregon, Connecticut, Illinois, and Maryland is preferred.
- Ability to work within QuickBooks Online is preferred
- Basic tax research skills
- Identify task issues as well as task progress in a timely and organized manner
- Communicate with Manager on work status and client issues that arise
- Manage the submission of estimated quarterly taxes for corporate clients and individuals
- Maintain updated knowledge of comprehensive tax law and attend continuing education and training as necessary
- Manage and assist clients in responding to tax notices from the IRS or other state agencies.
Qualifications:
- Certified Tax Preparer (PTIN Required)
- At least three years of tax preparation experience
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with, or ability to quickly learn Intuit ProConnect tax preparation software
- Excellent organization skills and fine attention to detail
- Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal oversight
- Highly effective in time management
- Professional in handling client correspondence and always maintaining confidentiality
