Christmas Budgeting – Money

During the Christmas season, budgeting is very important. Over the next few weeks, we are going to discuss different aspects of budgeting for the holiday season.

Money

This part may seem more obvious than the rest, but set a financial spending budget for the holiday season. This will look different for each individual or each family.

Here are a few of my favorite tips:

  • Put away money each payday throughout the year for the holiday season. I suggest the season run October – September. This way, you can withdraw your funds on October 1st each year to begin purchasing gifts.
  • Focus on experiences & memories instead of physical gifts.
  • Make a list of who you need to give gifts to.
  • Set a budget for gift-giving.

A great reminder to focus on experiences & memories over material items!
